After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.

Waivers from the Road Scholar Provider and our local partners in the islands will be provided to participants before the program, or before the relevant activity.

A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

This information about travel documents pertains to participants holding U.S. passports. Non-U.S. citizens should refer to their country's requirements to ensure they have the necessary documentation for travel.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Royal Tahitien in Tahiti

Start of Trip:  Flight arrivals to Faa'a International Airport (PPT) followed by 6:45 a.m. transfer from airport to hotel.

Getting to the site: A group arrival transfer is organized for all participants who purchased an air inclusive program and arrive on the group date. This transfer is will depart the Pape'ete International Airport at 7:00 AM and is scheduled for the LAX flight arriving at 6:15 AM. Upon arrival in Papeete, please proceed through Immigration and Customs. Please have your passport and completed immigration forms (which were given to you on the plane) readily available. Your group leader will meet you in the arrivals hall outside or immigration. Independent travelers may join the scheduled group transfer, or taxi on their own to the hotel. Independent travelers must let Road Scholar know if they plan to join the group transfer by emailing info@pac-island.com or calling 808-732-1999. If you are an independent traveler and miss any of the pre-planned group transfers due to flight delays, etc. you may be responsible for additional transportation fees. These transfer times are subject to change and will be confirmed in the final mailing packet mailed 5 weeks prior to program departure. If for any reason you miss the designated group transfer, please proceed to the hotel via ground transportation.

Your trip ends on: Saturday, October 24, 2026 in Rarotonga at Sunset Resort

End of Trip: 7:00 p.m. after transfer to airport.

Getting to the airport: The program includes a group transfer from the hotel to Pape'ete Airport after dinner. Taxis are also available.

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
