Cruise Line Terms and Conditions of Carriage Road Scholar participants enrolling in this program are subject to HX Expeditions terms and conditions of carriage, which include an assumption of risk agreement, waiver of liability, and other important information regarding your rights and obligations. Participants are therefore encouraged to carefully review them in advance. You can view the cruise line’s terms & conditions by visiting their website at the link below: www.travelhx.com/en-us/terms/ Mandatory HX Forms: All guests travelling with HX must submit a Ship Manifest Information Form and have their Medical Screening Form approved. Closer to departure we will e-mail all participants the link to complete this. All participants need to be comfortable getting in & out of zodiacs, feel comfortable navigating around the ship and handle stairs while onboard. PLEASE NOTE: The ship is not suitable for Wheelchair/Electric Scooter use.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Hotel Geysir in Haukadalur
Start of Trip: Breakfast at Park Inn by Radisson. If arriving independently, plan to arrive at the Park Inn by Radisson no later than 9:00 a.m.
Getting to the site: Our program begins at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel near the Keflavik Airport , a transfer will be provided for those who have purchased their air through Road Scholar. A Road Scholar representative will meet you outside the Arrivals hall and escort you to the coach waiting for you at the airport. If you have booked your flights independently there is a possibility to reserve a seat on the group arrival transfer that departs the Keflavik airport on arrival day. Instructions on how to reserve a space will be available in your Final Information Packet. Alternatively, you may take a taxi from the airport to the Keflavik hotel.
Getting to the site by train or bus: Use the Flybus to travel to the airport for departure.

End of Trip: After breakfast, check out is 12:00 p.m.
Getting to the airport: Participants that arranged their airfare through Road Scholar, and are departing on the designated departure date of the program will receive a departure transfer. Please note, if you did not book your air through Road Scholar, you will NOT be able to join a transfer. For those who booked their own air or are departing independently you can ask hotel staff for help getting a taxi to the airport. Please note the Keflavik airport is about a 45 minute drive from Reykjavik. Two companies you can use are: Taxi Reykjavik BSR +354-561-0000-Email: info@taxireykjavik.is Hreyfill +354-588-5522-Emial; tour@hreyfill.is You can also take the Flybus to Keflavik airport. You can make a reservation on their website: https://www.re.is/tour/flybus/ . They recommend scheduling your booking 3-4 hours before your flight's departure time.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. The Information Packet Road Scholar sends in advance of the program includes details needed to make your transfer arrangements. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
