Age Well: The Power of Connections — Impacts on Happiness & Health

I wish this program had come out before Covid! I would have made sure I kept in touch with more family and friends. The power of daily, even weekly conversations is over whelming.

This was an excellent presentation. It gave research on fostering relationships and loneliness as well as concrete ideas on how to foster and make new relationships. As we age, we often move away from friends to be closer to family or in a independent/assisted living situation and need to start over making friends. This gave great suggestions! Well worth the time to watch it!

This was a nice mix of "factual" summaries including interesting old studies then some suggestions on how to increase connections. That second part being easier said (or prescribed) than accomplished.

Today, I set my sights on a program that began at noon MST. It was presented by Dr. Sanderson from Amherst. It was on the Power of Connection. It is a valuable program. I hope to attend others on ZOOM.

The lecture on "The Power of Connections" was extremely interesting and informative. I believe the information presented can positively impact health outcomes for seniors and others who watch it.
