Online Lecture: Il Divino — Michelangelo & The High Renaissance

I am going to see some of Michelagelo's works in June so really appreciated this lecture. It was very informative. It is so nice to have a better understanding of the history of the art before you see it. The presenter was very knowledgeable and thorough. I loved it. Thank you.

I wish RS would have more such presentations on Italian art. It was wonderful!

Matt Palczynsky does an excellent job presenting this program. The program content is comprehensive, clearly presented and well structured. Matt has an easy voice to listen to and has an excellent speaking pace.

Not knowing what to expect and not particularily interested in the topic of Michelangelo, I signed up just to see what the "on line experience" was all about. Well, the lecture and images were beyone my expectations and held my interested throughout the entire lecture. I shall do this again!

The lecture on Michelangelo was wonderful! I had just seen the David in Florence again in October. The sheer magnitude of his work really hit me with this lecture. The visual description of the blocks of marble outside the Vatican will stay with me.

The speaker went into excellent depth on Michelangelo’s business acumen and his almost natural-born abilities in sculpture and painting. It made me even more interested in finding out more about Michelangelo’s life.

I love Road Scholar and all its webinars. I always come away knowing more than I thought. I love to travel but sometimes it's nice to just travel into my office, sit down and enjoy an hour of wonderful information on all different subject matters. Great work Road Scholar!

"Il Divino" was a wonderful overview of the artist's major works which was very good!

I was unsure that this was a topic for me. I am not an art and history person unless I am visiting a place that interests me. I loved Versaille and Monet's Garden when we were in Paris but would not watch a documentary on tv about art. I found myself mesmerized by the carvings and the history with Matthew Palczynski, PhD's style of teaching and his presentation! The hour flew by and I found myself wanting more. I will definitely be watching for lectures from this speaker and will sign up for any lecture that he gives with Road Scholar.

Matthew Palczynki's presentation on Michelangelo was excellent. By the end of the video, I felt considerably more informed about Michelangelo, his work and that of some of his contemporaries.
