Online Lecture: The Conversos of New Mexico — Faith, Identity & Survival

Having lived in NM for 6 years, this program was very interesting to learn about the somewhat tortured history of New Mexico moving into Statehood. It was a lot of information and could have been two lectures.

Christopher Gibson captivated me with his deep interest and extensive knowledge of the topic. He shared compelling details and presented them in a way that truly ignited my pre-existing interest. His personal, familial connection to the historic journeys of European and Spanish Conversos and Crypto-Jews to Mexico and New Mexico was particularly moving, transforming the overall presentation into a wonderfully powerful experience for me.

In 2010 I had the EH program in Albuquerque on The Crypto Jews of the Southwest, which concentrated mostly on the current situation, & it was excellent!! This lecture provided the much needed & appreciated historical backgroundm & it was super-excellent!!

He did such a good job I am signing up for another of his online talks. This talk about this subject is very relevant in these times.
