Excellent lecture and speaker! My husband and I just returned from a tour of South Korea and heard this online lecture only a few days after our return. Truly wish we had heard this lecture prior to our tour or during the first few days while on tour. It would have given us an entirely different perspective or understanding of the development of Korean culture in the last fifty years. Of note is the importance of the cosmetic industry, popularity of medical treatment in the fields of cosmetic surgery and dermatology, the development and export of food products such as seaweed, the construction of high-rise buildings and the transportation system, K-pop music, food, drama, electronic games, movies, etc.

Very interesting view of how Korea has utilized their young culture to export music, games and films to other countries.
