If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.
Arrival day is on December 4, 2026
Meet the group at Hotel Antigua Miraflores in Lima
Start of Trip: 2 PM official check in followed by the Orientation.
Getting to the site: Arrival transfers are provided to participants who book their flights through Road Scholar and arrive on the program arrival date.
For participants who booked their own flights or arrive before the official start day of the program, there are a couple of ways to arrange an on-the-spot transfer to your hotel in Lima (information as of November 2025):
After leaving the restricted area with your luggage, you will have to exit the building through the nearest sliding door. You will see taxi stands with uniformed staff across the street, who will offer you a car (up to 2 people with luggage) or a van (3+ people with luggage) on a private basis.
The service to Miraflores (where the Road Scholar Hotel is located) is around 65 Soles (USD 25) for a car or 85 Soles (USD 32) for a van, per service, per vehicle. Fix rate. Prices are higher at some fixed times, but they are posted. They are available 24/7 and are reliable (all companies use the same taxis). You can pay on the spot by credit card, USD cash, or local currency if you have it. We would recommend paying by credit card, so no cash is involved. Keep a couple of USD in cash to tip your taxi driver.
Companies: Taxi Green, CMV, Directo, Trip, or TAXI365

Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar are responsible for making their own transfer arrangements to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program.
