This is one of the best online trips I have taken. The tour guide Nettah Yoeli-Rimmer was amazing and I enjoyed his walks through neighborhoods. The history was very interesting. This is a part of the world I have not visited and now I feel like I have been in the Low Countries. I will take another online trip with this guide when it is available.

I learned an amazing amount about the art and history of Belgium and the Netherlands from this program. The instructor is very knowledgeable about these countries and presents the information is a well organized manner, with a good balance between lecture and virtual field trips. I highly recommend it.

Speaker was knowledgeable on topic and prepared for each lecture. Well run on-line sessions and minor to no technical issues. I think my expectations were a bit higher than what I got - the course was more like 1 1/2-2 hours daily - I was left craving a bit more. The videos were not live but they did add value.

When I prepare for the online adventure I research food I can prepare in my home. Eating local foods is one of the best part of experiencing the travel tours in person, so I try to recreate it during the virtual tours. It went well in the Spring during the tour of Turkiye. This Low Country trip back in time made me research medieval recipes as well as modern favourites.
List of Dishes during Low Country Tour:
Carbonnade Beef and Beer Stew;
Belgian Stoemp aux Carottes;
Queens Vlaai – Dutch Apricot Tart;
Belgian Chicken Waterzooi;
Boulets Liégeois (Meatballs swimming in an apple and onion gravy);
Flemish Frites – Belgian Fries with Andalouse Sauce;
Appeltaart (Dutch Apple Tart) - made into hand-pies.
A collection of recipes for all tours would be helpful. Even just the names of the dishes points me in the right direction.

This was an excellent presentation examining the history of what we call the Netherlands, rise of the Dutch Golden Age, and art influences of the time. Highly recommended. Following Zoom content was easy; it was like taking a trip but not traveling.

This was a superb program that gave me a solid understanding of the art and history of a very important region of northern Europe about which I previously knew little.
