This program was everything I had hoped for and more. I wanted to visit ancient ruins and old churches in the Mediterranean area - accomplished. Accompanied throughout the trip by an archeologist and a volcanologist - more than I could have hoped for! Free time in port stops and experiencing local culture - delightful. Seeing active volcanoes erupt (at a safe distance, of course) - a bonus! Group leaders and other Road Scholar staff, as well as the ship’s crew - everything one could hope for. Getting to know other participants - wonderful!

Kim – Class of 2024 | Carlisle, PA
We learned so much about Southern Mediterranean, the sights, culture, music, food, volcanos, and what the citizens' lives were like, antiquities, museums, mythology, cathedrals, architecture, Roman and Greek theaters and amphitheaters. Fellow travelers were friendly and we shared much in common. It was a successful trip.

There is so much to learn about Herculaneum, Sicily and Malta history that has never seemed publicized. This trip will amaze your mind.
