I signed up for this program because #1 I was interested and #2, it was free. If I wanted to use Road Scholar to visit NYC, I would be thrilled to end up with this speaker as a group leader.

Paula – Class of 2017 | Hoquiam, WI
This was a very interesting lecture; in that it talked about the building of the original World Trade Center and also the rebuilding of the now one. I especially liked the commentary during the question-and-answer session about the Road Scholar Group and their experiences on 9/11.

This program is most worthwhile to understanding more of what took place in the years that followed. When you stand in reverence at the Memorial or in the Museum, this program will help you better understand the rebuilding process that took place in the years that followed. Truly amazing!

Very informative lecture on the history of the Twin Towers and process by which the new area was imagined and how it commemorated the 9/11 event which was such a devastating time in our country.

On May 24-29, 2001 I attended the Road Scholar Signature City Program in New York City. The host for this was the South Street Seaport Museum on Front Street--very near the World Trade Center that we would walk through each day. How wonderful--and helpful--it was to attend the Road Scholar free lecture on the Rebuilding of the World Trade Center this week under the guidance of one who had witnessed the fateful day while leading a Road Scholar Program. With many emotions during the lecture, it was with thankfulness I saw the great memorial to the people that died and to all those who helped during that horrific day 9/11/2001.
