The land trip was exciting, very interesting. The food at each place was amazingly good. I have diet issues. Libby Chandler our wonderful guide handled my needs at every meal we had on the land trip. She was very thoughtful and thorough. An amazing leader. I wish I could travel with her again. Matt, the museum guide and lecturer was one of the best I have ever experience. We had another woman who helped Libby as needed. I can't remember her name but she was as wonderful as Libby. Unfortunately I caused myself to have an accident prior to boarding the Queen Mary. She was right there beside me and handled everything: ambulance, emergency room at hospital, food, hotel, transportation, flight home and helped me to get home.

Truly an amazing experience. Extraordinary lectures led by our expert lecturer Matt were a highlight. If you are interested in art history and the Impressionists in particular , this trip is a must. Matt’s depth and breadth of knowledge were amazing. Field trips to Paris museums were a highlight. Attempting the Lourve and Musee D’Orsay in one day was too much. Only a couple of hours to spend in each. Way too rushed. We enjoyed a delightful dinner cruise on the Seine catered by Maxim’s. The hotels were comfortable and breakfasts were quite good. Some of the Dinners and lunches in France were less so, we saw a lot of roast chicken, potatoes and almost no vegetables. The time spent in Rouen, Giverny, and the charming town of Honfleur were delightful. The Giverny visit also felt rushed but the gardens were magnificent. The transatlantic crossing on the QM2 was wonderful. The ship is gorgeous, and immaculate. I loved the variety and quality of live music offered all over the ship. Afternoon tea was a treat and the food, particularly in the main dining room was quite good. The ship’s staff was very helpful. Little touches like turndown service and a chocolate treat were lovely. This trip requires a good deal of energy and the ability to traverse lots of cobbled streets, stone stairs and endure lengthy walks. Our leader in France, Libby, was excellent. She was knowledgeable and upbeat. This is an extraordinary experience and one recommend it for anyone with a keen interest in art history who wants to see iconic masterpieces.

If Fine Art is an interest, I can recommend the Art History adventure followed by the QM2 sailing.

A memory maker. Art themed program that takes advantage of the museums and cities. An enjoyable crossing of the Atlantic on the elegant QM2. A knowledgeable and participant centered guide. A gifted art historian who offers a fresh and insightful perspective on art. Strongly recommended.

This program gives participants a quality course in art history consisting of 30 hours of lecture by an art history Ph.D who is an excellent lecturer. In addition to lecture, the program provides hands-on experiential education in museums and visits to places where the great painters painted. One must be willing to sit and listen to three hours of lecture per day and be willing to spend a huge amount of time on one's feet in museums or in exploring towns in Normandy. The group size was too large and proved to be somewhat difficult to manage at times. In addition, there were people with disabilities who should not have undertaken such an amount of walking. But, if you really want to learn about art history, this would be an excellent opportunity
