"Honoring D-Day — Echoes of Valor & Victory" was a beyond outstanding presentation that can't be praised highly enough for explaining the events that occurred on that historic day.

Very interesting and informative, wish he had more pictures.

I learned so much from this short lecture from Mr. Jones. His presentation was dynamic and engaging in a way that moved me to tears. I think I could listen to him talk about history for hours.

If you have any interest in the history of the Second World War, this presentation concerning D Day is a must see. Content both verbal and visual are excellent and the presentation is consistently clear and comprehensible.

Dr. Spencer Jones' D-Day analysis was very well presented, and showed his thorough knowledge of the events which led up to and took place on that momentous day in history.

The D-Day program as presented by Spencer Jones with passion and detail is not to be missed. He took us through the battle strategy by the day, the hour, the beaches, the generals and the casualties. I could hear the lone piper amid the the tanks and gunshot. I was left in tears proud of these courageous people who reopened the free world. I pray for leaders today who will climb on their shoulders.

The online free zoom lecture about D-Day was exceptional and the pictures were so interesting. The speaker Spencer knew his material and enjoyed sharing it with everyone. If Spencer Jones is to be a presenter for any program, by all means sigh up. You will not be disappointed, but rather you will be grateful to have had the chance to hear him. I cannot imagine that there is any aspect of WWI or WWII history that he does not know and can introduce you to in an interesting, organized and comprehensive way.

"Honoring D-Day - Echoes of Valor and Victory" is a fantastic online program. I learned so much about the events of D-Day that I had not known before and it revived my memories from visiting the Beaches of D-Day. I highly recommend this program for people of all ages.

A superior verbal description of a terrible day defined by unimaginable bravery.

Dr. Jones is both a most engaging speaker and outstanding historian. I recommend him highly to both thinkers and lifetime learners (not necessarily mutually exclusive)!

The beaches of Normandy lecture was an extremely interesting overview of the five beaches invaded on D-day. I was unaware of the tactical & geographical differences, as well as the difficulties they faced due to military challenges from weather and timing. I was enthralled by Spencer's storytelling, and even brought to tears. I would enjoy hearing more from him in future lectures.

Please avail yourself of any and all presentations given by Spencer Jones. He is an extraordinary historian and speaker.

Excellent topic and brilliantly presented!

I saw the D-Day beaches in person on a Road Scholar visit about 10 years ago. Seeing the cemetery decorated with flags and all of the flowers in the memorial made the whole scene even more poignant.

Excellent overview of the events of the D-day invasion. I really liked that all 5 invasion points were covered, not just the two the USA were involved in, as happens so often. Really enjoyed Spencer's presentation!

Spencer Jones is an excellent historian who made a complex topic of WWI and WWII and Normandy easy to understand.

This online lecture describing many details and relatively unknown facts about each of the beaches of the invasion of Normandy on D-Day was extremely informative and presented the confusion, mis-coordination were overcome by strong leadership, outright bravery, determination and dedication of the forces who had been tasked to undertake "The Great Crusade." The fact that it was the 80th anniversary of D-Day was special to me because I was born in Dec, 1944 while my dad was 'over there'. I was 11 mos old the first time he saw me. It felt more real seeing the faces and knowing they could also have pregnant wives at home who were just like us.

This was a fantastic program, everything about the prewentation was well beyond anything I had hoped

This program was full of details, all connected in an interesting narrative. It was like reading a book you can't put down.

The free lecture on D-Day was superb - so much information - many interesting facts I didn't know - and so clearly presented. To cover the topic this thoroughly in about an hour could have felt like simply an information dump, but it absolutely flowed as a well-told story. Most interesting and worthwhile!!

The D-Day Road Scholar offering was simply excellent! Passionately delivered with helpful insights which enabled me to imagine being there on that fateful day. I came away with a renewed appreciation of those who fought and died that day on behalf of our freedom and liberty.

This outstanding lecture is a wonderful preparation to any planned trip to Normandy. Dr. Jones condensed the DDay operations in this lecture to just over an hour. After this experience, count on having a different perspective of this crucial day in history,as well as an awareness of the sacrifices of so many.

This was the first Road Scholar program I attended on-line. It was incredibly interesting, went along a good pace, and the photographs and maps that were included during the program were excellent. It was a wonderful experience and enjoyed the Q&A segment after the presentation. Thank you for a wonderful program that went by too quickly!
