Join architect Mark Keane for a hands-on experience as you learn to sketch the iconic UNESCO heritage site, Chartres Cathedral in France. Constructed in 1194, the cathedral is situated on the site of five cathedrals occupied since the fourth century. Already renowned across Europe as a pilgrimage destination, it holds relics of the Virgin Mary, making it one of the most beautiful and historically significant cathedrals in all of Europe. During this draw-along online lecture, you’ll learn sketching concepts such as perspective, horizon line, vanishing points, light and shade. To make the most out of this lesson, visit https://www.roadscholar.org/sketching for important resources and details. RECOMMENDED PREPARATION: No drawing experience is necessary.
