Great trip! If you’re looking for a trip to visit the UK, this is it. London, southwest Cornwall, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Small exploration vessel with only 93 rooms allows you to get to know other passengers. By the end of the trip you’ve made several new friends. The crew and staff went out of their way to make it a memorable trip. Zodiac landings were a blast and a lot of fun. Most of the trip was spent in Scotland enjoying the beautiful scenery, castles, cathedrals, henges and coastline. The only thing I would do differently is book a few extra days on the front end to see more of England. We have many good memories.

Taking a ship around the coast of the United Kingdom is a perfect way to learn about its history. I was worried that I would miss out on lovely countryside, but instead I was blessed with gorgeous sunsets, ocean wildlife, and picturesque seaports in addition to bus rides through the countryside. It was the perfect combination! I highly recommend Road Scholar's floating campus to the UK.

The Ocean Albatros is run by professionals, as is the tour itself. You will be well cared for and often impressed.

This was my first RS program overseas and it was excellent. I enjoyed the ship Albatross Expedition and would do another trip on that. Maybe RS will consider doing the Galapagos islands using the same ship. I'm not interested in Antartica but I would consider another trip on the same ship.
We had spectacular weather the entire trip - which is not usual for Wales, Ireland and Scotland. The lecturer's onboard the ship were excellent as well. Our travel guide Stuart was extraordinary and he added to the experience. The ports were very interesting - and at some point I may decide to go back to travel more in Ireland since my ancesters are from the Cork area. This was truly a learning adventure onboard a ship and it exceeded my expectations.
I will add a suggestion to have the RS person picking up passengers at the airport to be more clearly identified. When I arrived I was on my own for awhile and wondered if I might need to get my own transportation to the hotel.

This was our first Road Scholar adventure and it exceeded my expectations. Our Road Scholar guide was excellent and we always felt like we were well taken care of throughout the program. The days were filled with learning opportunities while providing adequate free time to explore the locations.
