John Steinbeck was known for championing the working class and downtrodden. His impressive achievements included the National Book Award, Pulitzer and Nobel Prize. Steinbeck was a master of both the sweeping epics “Grapes of Wrath” and “East of Eden,” and the poignant and comedic novellas “Of Mice and Men” and “Cannery Row."
