Online Lecture: Geologic Wonders of the American West — Mountains to Mesas

This was the most interesting lecture in a long series of Zoom lectures I have done with Road Scholar. Hooray!!

There is so much more of interest when one digs beneath the surface.

So much to learn! The very knowledgeable instructor illustrated key points of land mass shifts and explained the geological formations very well.

Great information! The lecture was well organized and structured. The slides were excellent and tailored to the concepts and geologic structures being talked about. And they were beautiful - especially the pictures of areas we were discussing! Additional demonstrations of complex concepts make them simple to understand. If you have any interest in mountains, geology, or plate tectonics this program is a Must. It will also make any trip to that part of the country richer, as you will better understand what you are seeing.

A worthwhile program. A complicated subject was presented in terms a layman could understand and it was made so interesting that I am reading several books that were recommended.

Loved this online class. Instructor presented the information without starting and stopping, or hesitating, and had excellent visual aids that really helped me to "get it." Good material delivered well.

This program was very useful to someone who grew up in the West and took me back to places and knowledge I'd not visited for a long time.

Clear, concise, puts the geology of the western half of the US together better than any lecturer I had previously had.
