San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum holds the largest and most valuable collection outside of China. Join author James Dalessandro, an expert on all things San Francisco, for a discussion on what this museum holds — over 18,000 paintings, sculptures, scrolls, artifacts and cultural objects dating back as far as 6,000 years. This includes every Asian culture — Japanese, Chinese, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Himalayan and more. Housed in a Beaux Art building that was once home to the San Francisco Public Library (which now resides next door), the $160 million conversion was designed to immerse attendees in its vast cultural and artistic history.
