At a Glance

As we celebrate Italy, our Campus of the Year, we invite you to rediscover your love of drawing, sprinkled with a little history for good measure. Join architect Mark Keane for a hands-on lecture and learn to sketch Pisa — which rivaled Venice and Genoa as a sea-trading power for nearly three centuries. Located where the Arno River meets the sea, the cathedral, baptistery and 200-foot-tall iconic leaning bell tower on the Piazza del Duomo has been nicknamed the “Field of Miracles.” The architectural style of Romanesque uses tight rows of thin columns, geometric designs and striped colorful marble.
