I enjoyed the informative lecture on Mt. St. Helens. We experienced about 1/4 - 1/2 inch of ash in Missoula. Another interesting topic might be "The Axial Seamount, a deep-sea volcano, is located west of the Cascadia subduction zone. "

This was a great overview of the 1980 eruption and an update on how the area looks today. The slides were wonderful!

Dr Jenny Thomson is an excellent speaker and covered an enormous amount of information in 1 hour. I learned so much about volcanoes and the eruption on Mount St. Helens. I would definitely take any of Dr Thomson's courses that are offered. A+

Excellent - a great overview of what many of us remember from 43 years ago. I was working for the US Forest Service at the time but in California. It made us take a new look at the volcanoes to our east.

While I remember the eruption of Mount St Helens, this expanded my limited memory, in reliving the days before and what actually happened. Good use of maps, newspaper articles, and photos.

I just spent an hour listening to a comprehensive explanation of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and a description of how this event compares with other events around the world. The presenter describes types of volcanism around the world in an interesting way and used excellent charts, graphs and photos to accompany her lecture.
