At a Glance

While many modern cultures around the world are buzzing with energy to move faster and pack each hour with work and events, Danish culture embraces free time, work life balance, time with family and enjoyment of the little things in life. Concepts like “hygge” offer Danes an opportunity to slow down, enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee with friends. It also creates a concept of creating a comfortable home atmosphere, where family and friends can enjoy time together. Danish design brings an appreciation for clean lines, functionality and simplicity into the design of homes and furnishings. If you’re fascinated by Danish everyday life, join Inge Warf for a look into these new traditions and learn about living in Denmark.
