The Colors and Contrasts of Morocco - not to be missed! I enjoyed it so much that I keep reflecting on it 2 weeks later! Many of our participants asked questions and made comments which greatly contributed to the revealing of additional content and interesting sidebars.

I always wanted to visit Morocco and with this virtual experience it was the next best thing. I learned so much about the country, its cultures, and its rich history. My expectations of Morocco were completely different than all that I learned through this program. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to travel virtually and hear from the exceptional guides and teachers that Road Scholar provides with these programs. This is my second virtual tour and both have been top notch. I look forward to many more in my future!

Wow. This three day online course was like a semester in college. So many things, from culture to issues to economics. Well done.

As the camera moves down the narrow streets of a medina, it is as if you are walking down that street, coming to the door of a home, and anticipating entering.

I planned a trip to Morocco and then I saw the online program to Morocco. I decided to sign up for the online trip to prepare for my visit. When I was in Morocco I had a much better idea of what I was looking at and experiencing because of the online trip I took. The instructors were very willing to answer any and all questions. I thoroughly enjoyed the online experience of Morocco.

Outstanding program. It so prepared me for some excellent books and a couple of videos to read/watch afterwards. It filled me with joy and an appreciation for a wonderfully multi-layered culture. I loved the respect for it brought by the instructors -- who were all top-notch. I recommended a Part 2 and possibly Part 3 to this program to cover more cities and places. 5-STARS

It was a wonderful trip, and would sign up for part 2 if it is offered. Only one complaint -- I have asked 3 times for instructions as to how to print off the handouts and I can't do it. Would appreciate step by step process. Would very much like to have the handouts. Linda Knox

Thoroughly enjoyed this seminar. I acquired a great deal of knowledge and understanding into Morocco’s history, culture, religious groups, arts and diverse population. Morocco is a melting pot that has benefitted from multiple groups and influences which makes it a unique monarchy.

Along with many other participants, I strongly recommend a part II segment be created. The trip as it currently exists is a good length. Fours hours over three days was enough--any longer would have resulted in "travel fatigue". So a second trip could cover other cities and locations, perhaps brief coverage of nomads in the desert.

24335 - Adventures Online: The Colors & Contrasts of Morocco I just took this three day, four-hour per day course and it was superb. It may be the best on line RS class I have taken, (though I have loved them all!). The leader and the other instructors were passionate and knowledgeable about their subject. And three "field trips" knocked it out of the ballpark!!!! Can't wait for my next RS trip, real or on line!

This program has very dedicated and knowledgeable instructors who provide valuable insight into the country of Morocco. The field trips are extremely helpful in giving a feel for the areas visited in the country. I had been in Marrakesh and Fez 17 years ago donating wheelchairs to persons with no mobility. This class was a way for me to learn about the present changes in the country and more about the history of the people I had helped.

The Morocco 3 day online program was exceptional! Farah is a highly skilled group leader and lecturer. I thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from this program. An added treat for us and the people of Morocco was that at the time of our program, Morocco was doing very well in the soccer World Cup!!

I enjoyed the virtual trip, but didn't think it was as interesting as others I've taken, where I felt that I'd actually been to the location and maybe want to visit it in the future. It was well organized and run, but perhaps the subject wasn't as interesting compared to some others. I did learn a lot about Morocco and enjoyed hearing from the different speakers.

The online course of “Colors and Contrasts of Morocco” was an excellent , digestible overview of history , modern issues and glimpses of art, architecture and music. Daily “walking tour” videos allowed virtual, realistic visits to Rabat, Ouazzane and some interesting places in Marrakech. There were some handy downloads, including a page on Moroccan Arab phrases, recipes, a synopsis of history, drawings of musical instruments, etc. This was excellent preparation for our upcoming trip this Fall to Morocco. The study leader, Farrah Cherie D’Ouezzan was really an excellent instructor!

If you'd like to know all about Morocco, its people, its history, its religions, its craftsmanship, then this is a trip on line worth taking. There are lots of pictures, "field trips", and very engaging on line information that will definitely get you to the heart of Morocco. I enjoyed it immensely, and the four hours each day was just enough. It's inspired me to take the trip in real life!

Ten years ago, my husband and I participated in an in-person version of this program. It was wonderful! We continue to be interested in Morocco, and because of the continuing travel restrictions, as well as our continuing aging process, that is now impossible. This is the next best thing, and we enjoyed the experience.

Farah Cherif D'Ouezzan was a wonderful leader and host for this program. The field trips were interesting and well organized, and I loved that she talked openly about the challenges Morocco is facing. This was well worth the investment of time and money. Thank you.

If you have an interest in Morocco and the Middle East, this is a great program. I have been to Morocco in the past, but I want to go back because I think I would get so much more out of seeing Morocco especially with Road Scholar and their team in Morocco. I learned a lot and I know there is so much more to learn.

This is a comprehensive, culturally diverse and intellectually stimulating program. The lecturers are learned and great communicators. The course has the right mix of lectures, guided tours, music, arts and Q&A sessions with Moroccans on society and culture. A must for anyone interested in Morocco!

This course really immersed us in the diversity of Morocco. The four lecturers were outstanding, and the country has a rich cultural history that forms a unique Moroccan identity. I can't wait to visit in person!

Farah Cherif and her team did a wonderful job of introducing us to Morocco, not just the usual highlights of the country but the flavor of a very diverse and foreign culture. I was hoping to quell my curiosity but instead, piqued my interest! I will be planning a trip to Morocco soon! Thank you for an awesome experience!
