This was unquestionably informative and enlightening and tailored to the type of inquisitive but travel-limited lifelong-learning audience I am member of. I would never have learned this as effectively from books on the subject. Kudos to Instructor Velasco.

I need to find someone to go to these museums with me! This lecture was fascinating! The presenter was wonderful. His use of maps, timeline, 3D site recreations on GoogleEarth, and the exploded 3D tomb layers were fantastic.

I've just watched Oscar's presentation on recent Peruvian archeology, which was fascinating. I've visited Peru and learned about the Moche and Wari people, not just the Incas. Oscar helped me understand how their time scale fits together.

This was a fabilous presentation by Oscar. He is a talented lecturer, able to get across complex and layered information in an engaging way. He is simply the best. In this presentation Oscar shows that Peru is not only about Machu Pichu and the Incas (although see his lecture on that subject too). You can't go wrong with Oscar!

Excellent and extremely informative overview of the long and rich history of the six civilizations spanning thousands of years prior to the relatively recent and very short period that produced the wonders of Machu Picchu, which is all most people are aware of. Oscar is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent and very personable and approachable presented. We were with him in South America several years ago and are looking forward to when we can join him again in Lima and some of the other amazing archaeological sites. Thank you so much for this very informative program!

The lecture on Peruvian archaeological discoveries of the last 40 years was informative and engaging. Although I have traveled to Peru in the past and visited many of the Incan sites, I had limited awareness of the rich history and the cultures that predate the Incas. This lecture piqued my interest to learn more about the history of this beautiful and interesting country. The presenter is outstanding!

I lived in Peru for 4 years and visited the Lord of Sipan archeological site and many others, so I really enjoyed the update. Pre-Columbian history is very complicated and those who haven't visited the sites probably know nothing about it. But the instructor did an outstanding job of making the timetable and different cultures clear. I would take another course with him in a heartbeat.

Most people know about the Incas but few know about previous civilizations in South America. This program highlights ruins from 12000 BC forward to the time of the Incas. Also, as a woman I was thrilled to learn how stong women were in some of these periods.

The field of archeology is incredibly active in Peru. This lecture takes us back 5,000 years, showing us how complex civilizations existed in South America, on par with the great civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia. Fascinating!

I just watched the lecture on archeological discoveries in Peru. The lecturer was outstanding in his knowledge of the subject and very personable in his presentation manner. I have also recently watched two lectures on archeological discoveries in Turkey. I very much like this type of technical subject matter and Road Scholar is doing an exemplary job in presenting these lectures.
