I highly recommend this class. It was a highly enjoyable and educational experience. The instructors were
experts in their fields and the host provided a fun and organized online environment. I came away with new books and authors to explore and background knowledge and history of fictional and real detectives and crimes. Thank you for providing this online class.

The Art of the English Murder Mystery was top-notch. Presenters, pacing, question time--all first class and well worth the money.

A thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable study of the British mystery novel that exceeded all my expectations. The instructors and group leader could not have been better. Martin Edwards shared his amazing and encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the mystery novel in a thoroughly engaging manner. Simon Dinsdale, a retired senior British copper, had fascinating stories about being a real detective. Giles Ramsey, the discussion moderator, was funny, shared great film clips, and always asked questions that provoked great discussions. Kevin Durjun, the group leader, was warm, enthusiastic and great fun—I would love to have him lead any future RS programs I take. This was my first on-line RS program and I am so glad I took it.

Absolutely the best! Participants were engaging.
The presenters are the absolute best! Well honed presentations given with authority, humor and passion.
Kevin kept us all on track and is certainly skilled in having all questions answered. He is welcoming and enjoys his work.
I cannot wait to read more of Martin's books after having the opportunity of "meeting" him and learning about the history of crime/mystery writing - and nuances.
Giles has wonderful, engaging interviewing techniques.
Simon Dinsdale balanced fiction with reality. Is there a way that we can be notified when his book is published? He is a "new" author.
Thank you for the opportunity to learn more about one of my favorite pass times!

Whodunnit and Howdunnit? Join a virtual trip to England to learn more about the British mystery from a well-known writer of the genre and inside info on a famous real-life murder from a now-retired police detective superintendent. I found the speakers to be interesting and informative, well-versed in their subject matter to give what I found to be an engaging armchair experience. This adventure was erfect to while away some time until we can travel once more.

Delightful trips (online and in-person)!
Always thought I was a "solo" traveler, but with RS's family atmosphere,
I can be an introvert and an extrovert at once!

If you are wandering in the dark on how to read an English murder mystery and want to know how to go about it, then this is your ticket to the Golden Age of murder mysteries. Real life author, real life detective all on board to discuss murder most foul.

I am relatively new to murder mysteries, and I cannot say enough good things about it. I learned so much. What an remarkable collection of experts - amazing author, theatre producer, and retired detective! Listening to them speak was like reading a book that you can’t put down! I loved the interaction with them and the rest of the group. Kudos to RS for orchestrating a brilliant program!
