Knowing nothing about the history of the subject, I was happy to find the material presented by Nigel West, moderated by Kevin Durjun to be amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the real story of James Bond brought to life by Mr. West. Nigel West's in depth knowledge of the content and subject of British spies was incredible. Kevin was exceptional as the moderator. Donna L

Kevin Durjun and Giles Ramsay are a delightful team! These virtual trips are lively and engaging. There are a lot of choices for online socials, but Road Scholar is the best - Cheers!

Perne – Class of 2009 | Tolland, CT
The subject matter for these professional presenters was excellent. Both presenters did a superb job in presenting their topic. The expertise of Nigel West was phenomenal in answering everyone's questions. I totally enjoyed Giles Ramsey and the historical stories of the British rulers during the age of enlightenment during the British conquests. I was in the security industry for 40 years, so it was very enlightening to learn of the British spy network that was in place during the world war era. The information and stories of the Honey Pot Russian spy network were intriguing and It was interesting to learn more about Ian Fleming, I have watched all of the James Bond movies. Nigel West provided a list of the most popular spy story movies that I will now begin to watch many of the movies that he recommended. Kevin Durjun and Sarah Rita represented Road Scholar professionally to keep the presentations running smoothly.

This program gives the Road Scholar an opportunity to learn from the very best!! Nigel West is not only the author of over 25 books on espionage, but he is extremely willing to share his knowledge with names, dates, and stories of when he met many of the spies about whom he writes and talks. Delightful!!

Espionage - what an interesting subject and so complex. I knew I didn't know too much before the program and now that I have taken the program - yes I learned a lot more, I have tons more I WANT to learn. So fascinating. The other group participants were great. Questions were great. I would highly recommend this program, but beware it is just the beginning, but it will increase your interest even more.

Larry – Class of 2012 | Vestavia, AL
The Road Scholar "Adventures Online: Espionage and the British Spy" featuring Giles Ramsay and Nigel West was enlghtening, entertaining, and most interesting. The program aptly blended British history and intelligence initiatives with related conditions in Britain and other countries "then and now". The authenticity of the presenters -- and, therefore, their presentations -- was evident both from their credentials and their "digital-presence". The course was a wise investment of both time and money. -- L.B. Durham, Ph.D.

Espionage & the British Spy was a fascinating online course. Our lecturers were extremely knowledgeable and informative. Pre- and post-course material most helpful. Overall, 10 hours of information from the group leader and several presenters was well spent. Joan and Richard Behr Joan & Richard Behr

Road Scholar has done a superb job putting together their on-line programs. Since most of us choose not to physically travel the on-line courses are definitely the next best thing.

Very interesting - many aspects of espionage are covered, including some going back several centuries. I am not a big espionage/spy fan, but found this to be informative and enlightening.

Online learning turned out to be better than I expected. Everyone could see and hear the lecturers, we were encouraged to ask questions, and the experts really were. The lecturers spoke about British spies through the ages right up until today.
