I just took "Adventures Online: A Journey Through the Many Faces of Provence" with Caroline Buizza & Martin Penicaud. Both of them were EXCELLENT! They were very knowledgeable and presented the material in a clear, understandable way - even the complicated history of Provence. They also had a light-hearted style which made the lectures very enjoyable.

Four days of enrichment so vast and comprehensive that one feels to have studied a whole College semester's worth of knowledge and information of an important historical zone of Europe, and how that part of Europe was fundamental to the overall History as we know it, as we have learned of it and beyond.

What an amazing online adventure! Each of the four sessions was filled with interesting history, geography and culture. I was able to fill in large gaps in what I knew about Roman history and got a wonderful introduction to European medieval history. The field trips were interesting and well paced. The guides were superb. Their knowledge and love of Provence shone through everyday. I'm literally going to Provence this fall, and I cannot imagine a better preparation to help me get the most out of my trip.

The program content was extremely impressive, the presenters were excellent in knowledge and friendly manner. But since there is no recording, if your internet goes down at some moment, you have just wasted a lot of money.

The online lecture for”A Journey Through the Many Faces of Provence” was very well presented, and the information covered more subjects than I expected. I highly recommend this program to learn a great deal about Provence, its history, churches, religion and painters who lived there. I can’t believe we covered so much in four days and in a delightful learning format. Thank you for another amazing online lecture, Road Scholar!

I’ve just concluded my on-line trip to Provence. Since travel is still difficult, this was an extraordinary opportunity to visit and learn about this beautiful area. The sessions were very well prepared and presented the opportunity to visit the Provence virtually. The presenters Caroline and Martin were superb. Well worth every minute. I do plan to travel in 2022. Provence is at the top of my list. Magnifique !

What a delightful four days in Provence! Since we can't travel right now, this has to be the next best thing. Caroline and Martin are very knowledgeable and truly brought Provence alive for their "travelers." We could almost smell the lavender and taste the fresh produce sold at the colorful markets. The presentations were well organized, jam-packed with information, and supported by a wealth of visuals and video "field trips."

I highly recommend this online adventure to Provence. I felt I learned as much about the region in eight hours as I would have in a whole college semester. And it was much more fun! Caroline and Martin are amazing presenters. You will love them and the program.

Just WOW! Caroline and Martin are deeply knowledgeable and charmingly relatable. They did an excellent job of helping me "see and hear" Provence. I wanted to have a sprig of lavender with a slice of cheese so I could add in touch, smell, and taste.

This was a nice blend of cultural aspects, history, and art of the region. It is done with an eye toward organized content done in a concise manner with a great deal of humor from the perspective of presenters who actually have lived in the area of France.

This program gives you a great review of the long history of Provence with its changing borders. The virtual tours are a wonderful complement and allows you to see the remains from previous occupations. It as a great close with the art of VanGoug and Cezeene.

This was a great program. Martin and Caroline are extremely articulate and they had a lot of detail about Provence. I've lived in Provence and had visited many of the places they discussed, but there were still places new to me. I loved the history and the architecture and art discussions.

A Journey through the Many Faces of Provence is truly an exceptional program. The program is well planned, cohesive, flawlessly executed by Caroline and Martin, and enhanced through lectures and virtual field trips. Caroline and Martin are personable and available to answer questions during the lecture and Q.A. time. Q.A. time with Caroline, Martin, and other participants is provided before and after class. Immediate technical assistance is available from Road Scholar, if needed. Highly recommend this program!

This was a wonderful sampler of all things Provencal. Whether you've been there before and want to revisit or if you've just always wanted to know what everyone raves about, this was well organized, delightfully hosted, and technically easy to manage. If you can't be there in person, this is a terrific substitute.

Si9nce I cannot go to Provance right now, this is the next best thing- like taking a vacation in a lovely part of the world. I think I will pour myself a glass of something from France and pretend I am there.

These online adventures are a wonderful opportunity for us to learn, and get a taste of travel. Caroline and Martin are very personable, and put together informative lectures and interesting "field trips". I particularly like the day on Van Gogh and Cezanne, where they showed paintings and the actual places of the paintings. I have a much better idea now of the diversity of the many sights of Provence.
