An amazing place that packs so much history into a small area. Just the WW II sites alone were worth the trip, not to mention the megalithic structures from the Bronze Age and St. Paul’s Catacombs and Grotto and the Roman Empire ruins in Rabat & the city of Mdina. The Hotel Palais Le Brun is centrally located, making walking around very easy (although there are lots of hilly areas there.) And very good food and wine, too! Take a raincoat just in case.
