For years I was thinking abount going to Buenos Aires to see the real Tango and experience the real beef taste like. I finally did it and you can too. It was wonderful.

The most cosmopolitan city in South America! The saying, "Argentinians are Italians who speak Spanish, think they’re French, and live like the British" is close to the truth!

Loved this program, my first trip to South America. Buenos Aires is beautiful and interesting, and our host Dario was absolutely fabulous!

This was a very memorable and truly special trip. Dario was amazingly skilled in handling all the challenges (and they were seemingly endless:) of our group of solo travelers. His humor was precious, his knowledge and the ability to share it was remarkable, and his patience - unsurpassed. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, and the Argentinian people with their beautifully unassuming friendliness and kindness added greatly to the unique brightness of the local colors. Our group members were all nice people, but meeting and bonding with three other very special travel companions was precious! The four of us are planning to stay in touch well beyond the Buenos Aires tour, and we are looking forward to strengthening the bonds of our friendship through future travels together, visits with each other, group chats, etc.. I thank Road Scholar for helping us find each other; unmistakably special! This was my 'first' on multiple levels: for traveling to South America, to one city only, and traveling with an exclusively Solo group. All of these 'firsts' were great. However, as a widow and now more often than ever before a solo traveler, I would like to make a special note of and see more Solo tours offered by Road Scholar. Thank you for your consideration. Lana

We had the best group leader ever. Nice people. We enjoyed using free time as well as the group activities. The tango experience was even better than expected. Lunch with local 20-somethings was a wonderful way to learn about Buenos Aires. The hotel was terrific, as was its location.

Independent Buenos Aires is a wonderful program that offers a good mix of planned events and opportunities for independent exploration. Buenos Aire is an easy city to navigate on one's own and offered many great venues to sample local food and wine.

Buenos Aires is an exciting, dynamic and welcoming city with much to offer visitors, particularly travelers who want to experience the city sights, culture and history "close-up" by both guided and self-exploration. I recommend this trip to anyone, particularly travelers interested in learning and exploring South America in a tour environment.
