Traveling by motorcoach, we’ll make our way to Fantastic Caverns in Springfield, Missouri, where we will enjoy an exploration by tram. As we ride with cavern staff through the second largest cave in the United States, we will learn about the cave’s history including why the Ozark Mountain area is one of the most cavernous regions in the United States. Next, we will transfer to the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium where we will be introduced to the extensive exhibits by a museum representative. Featuring a vast array of habitats in the wildlife galleries, the exhibits include many big game taxidermy animals such as elephants, oxen, wolves, rams, bears, leopards, and many more. The aquarium section of the museum includes thousands of live fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and other creatures, which we will observe and learn about from our experts.
At Hemingway’s Restaurant, we’ll have a tasty lunch with soft drinks and water included.
Gathering at the museum for an educational presentation, we will meet with staff as they handle some of the live WOW Animal Ambassadors. During the presentation, we will get to meet and learn more about these beautiful creatures.
At Pasghettti's Restaurant "home of the largest meatball", we’ll enjoy a choice of plated meals for our farewell dinner together, with coffee, tea, water included; other beverages available for purchase. Share some of your favorite experiences from the program with new Road Scholar friends.
Transferring via motorcoach, we will arrive to the venue for our final performance of the program: The Haygood Family Variety Show, one of the long-time variety shows in Branson. Afterwards, we will return to the hotel for the remainder of the evening at leisure. Prepare for check-out and departures in the morning.
