This trip was fantastic! Our team leader, the Ocean Victory and all her expedition team and crew were outstanding, with fabulous food, daily lectures, fun events, and amazing scenery and landings. The white continent is not to be missed with all of her penguins, whales, seals, chrystal and blue icebergs, and shimmering glaciers below gorgeous cloud filled skies. You’ll awake each morning to get another series of awe inspiring adventures. Don’t miss it!

I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a place I could not have visited by myself, in the company of interesting and engaging fellow travelers.

This program was very well organized and run. It had to be being that the fact that you can actually go and set foot in various places in this very remote location. Overall it was even better than I had expected.

Absolutely wonderful trip to Antarctica! I want to go back. I don't have the words to describe what I saw and felt there. My tour group companions were great. Really friendly and easy to get along with. Not a whinger in the group. Road Scholar did a great job planning the trip and providing excellent local guides.

A great experience and not too strenuous for a fairly active 84-year old.

The Antarctica Land Ho trip was outstanding, amazing, breathtaking! No way to describe! Nicole did a superb job of educating us about what we were seeing and troubleshooting our requests and needs. Her energy and humor kept us together and excited about every part of the trip.

What an adventure!!!!!! Nicole, the group leader, is absolutely fabulous!! She totally made sure that all participants were prepared by having a Zoom call for questions and talking about packing -- what to bring/not bring. As a result of this adventure, I'm already thinking about another trip to Antarctica!!! The Albatros Expeditions expedition team on the ship, Ocean Victory, was absolutely fabulous and went above and beyond to ensure that all were included according to their abilities. This was my first time on a ship out in the ocean, and it's given me confidence to do it again. I would highly recommend this adventure!

As the trip continued to progress it was not an uncommon conversation asking how can we even describe it to someone who has never been here. The natural beauty defies definition with its soaring glaciers, blue ice, aqua waters, and wildlife that can never be matched through specials on TV. If you wanted to see the earth as God meant it to be, go to Antartica. We have nothing but postive comments to say about the Ocean Albatros and it's crew. They were amazing and incredibly skilled at all levels. Our leader Dario, was especially committed to us and saw to it we had an experience that matched the splendor we saw. He was a joy to see every day and his enthusiasm was beyond contagious. It needs to be a bucket list for everyone. It will not disappoint and have you leaving wanting more of it.

An amazing trip to Antarctica. We originally went to see the animals, but found the stunning glaciers and icebergs being our favorite, memorable part of the trip (can't discount the penguins, wwhich were so great to see).

The Land Ho Iscebers and Penguins in Otherworldly Antarctica was epic. Our Leander Ncole Flores Jara did a fantastic job educationing and guiding us. My problem is with the misleading and lack of communication between the Road Scholar trip planners and the air travel planners. When looking to select this trip I was informed arrangin early or later departing from Buenos Aires was possible. After commiting to Road Scholar was told this was not true. Let's just say great disappointment because I had planned post trip for showing more of Argentina to my son. Not sure I an recommend useing Road Scholar again.

Reply from Road Scholar
Dear Gary, We see that we were able to connect with you and discuss this matter in more detail. We do apologize for any confusion. Based on your feedback and others, going forward, we have changed the itinerary to include two pre nights in Buenos Aires before moving on to Ushuaia. This will allow for more flexibility with flight arrangements. We hope that you reconsider and give us another try sometime soon. Sincerely, Road Scholar

Had a great time. Can hardly believe we got to explore Antarctica. Our guide, Nicole Flores was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and even presented a lecture for the entire ship. Nicole anticipated and advised our our tour group as well as helped address any issue that came up.

The trip was great, mostly due to Albatos Expeditions, the pre-trip customer service was terrible; be prepared to wait on hold or to call numerous times because the promise of a call-back was an empty promise.

This was the best RS trip that I have taken (#8). First, our guide Nicole Flores was outstanding, helpful always, very enthusiastic and knowledgable. I appreciated her going the extra miles, starting with a zoom video on what to pack and what to expect. I wish all guides would do that. Then the expeditor crew were not only helpful but came across as if they truly loved their jobs and wanted to share their enthusiasm with us. The crew on the ship were not only helpful and friendly, but always knew our names.

Our group was fortunate to have the best weather possible in Antarctica, and multiple rare animal sightings, we had such talented guides on board the ship, and our Roads Scholar leader prepared us with you tube videos of what to pack and how to prepare. A most Excellent Adventure!

The program was really good, I am better for going and have many new friends. We shared commonalities and differences in a convivial way. We all left as friends sharing our joys and our lives with others. I weary of the "gospel" of climate change. Yes, it is real but I truly suspicion that draconian behavior on the part of others in the western world will change one thing. Half of the world's population would love to have what the other half enjoys. They will consume it if we allow them the right to join us in enjoyment of the blessings we have-- and consumed on this very trip.

This trip to the 7th continent is a journey of a lifetime and an opportunity to visit the 7th continent. The sights and sounds of Antarctica and the wildlife are spectacular, breathtaking and magnificent. The experience is like being on another planet. The cold makes you feel alive. The icebergs are the size of cathedrals. Antarctica is a place of great beauty and wonder. It is a photographers dream. The trip is physically demanding. Despite the almost daily Covid tests and the first day and a half of quarantine on the ship, I highly recommend this amazing journey.
