Participating in this program with grandchildren gave all the adults a rare opportunity to enjoy activities such as netting critters in a pond or feeding alpacas and making our own bread and butter that would likely never happen in an all adult trip. I left feeling young at heart!

What a wonderful program! Our guide, Sandy, could not have been better. She (with a helper) worked extremely well with all the grandchildren. She kept them interested and happy. As a grandparent, I enjoyed going to all the scheduled places. The education provided was good broad enough that we learned new things. The resort was great too.

Checked all of my boxes: educational, inspirational presentations/information/facts, great program design and leadership. Equally important spent rewarding time with our grandchildren and many other families who added to make it a very rewarding experience.

My grandson and I had a marvelous time on this program. The Shawnee Inn & Resort is beautiful. Sandy (our leader) was outstanding. She led the grandparents and children in stretch & yoga sessions that were very enjoyable. She was available to our group from morning to night. (I hope to attend one of her hiking programs for adults in the future.) Sandy's junior colleague Chloe was also wonderful. Her after-breakfast recess sessions for the children at the on-site playground allowed the children to burn off steam and gave the grandparents a few minutes to prepare. I also appreciated the additional play sessions Chloe organized, including an archery session with the grandparents and grandchildren. Chloe also did an excellent job driving our van. The highlight of the program was our visit to the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center- a wonderful rescue that cares for animals that are often mistreated such as possums, turkey buzzards, skunks, coyotes, and crows. The grandchildren were completely quiet as they made their way through the shelter hospital, where the sickest patients were being cared for. We also met a friendly turkey buzzard named Wednesday who was walking freely on the grounds. Other fun activities included a hike with Sandy and Rick (a knowledgeable guide), feeding carrots to alpacas, and making bread and butter at a local farm. The meals at the resort were great, with an extensive breakfast buffet. The staff members at the hotel were kind. The servers even made goodie bags that they distributed to the children at the end of the week. I liked the opportunity to make our own sandwiches for our sack lunches, with ingredients provided by the program. Our dinners at the resort were also delicious. I would very much like to repeat this program with my grandson. Thanks for a fun week!

Traveling to the Poconos to learn about animals with our grand child was interesting and informative. The location at The Shawnee inn was lovely; we enjoyed staying there and traveling in the Delaware Water Gap area.

This was a well devised program that engaged both grandchildren and grandparents. The Poconos offered a lovely scenic venue. Free time allowed for exploration. Small size allowed for friendship bonding. This comes highly recommended and with high value for the price.
