I traveled solo and was happy to meet so many welcoming participants on this trip. The schedule was full and exciting. A very special program about Johnny Cash was presented right in our hotel! We walked some days to museums and some days we had a bus - a nice plan! I already have my next trip planned!

We really enjoyed the Nashville Signature City tour. Nashville is an awesome city with a very vibrant downtown. Enjoyed walking up and down Honkytonk Row and listening to all the music. Also enjoyed the Country Music Hall of Fame and the opportunity to see a Grand Ole Opry show. Of course, the tour of the Ryman Theatre was awesome. Our group leader Peggy was great. Hotel accommodations were very good. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time in Nashville! The program provided a lot of different places to visit and experiences to have. The musical aspect is the highlight, but we also learned a lot about the history of Tennessee and Nashville and saw many parts of the city, such as Belle Meade and Union Station. A friendly group and welcoming leader made for a fun time!

The logistics guide could be improved. Visiting Andrew Jackson’s “Hermitage” should be included in itinerary. Option to get tickets to the show at Ryman should be added to itinerary. The other signature city tours were more attractive.

An excellent overview of Nashville. There was a balance between music, history, education, entertainment, and food. The hotel was centrally located, close to some of the highlights of the city. The tour leader was very helpful and best of all were the participants who helped make the trip special. We had a great time.

This tour was fantastic. I checked off another bucket list item. The high lights were actually touring the Ryman auditorium and current Grand Ole Opry (GOO) theater. Attending a GOO performance was the primary reason I joined the tour; I am going to tune into their weekly radio broadcasts. There is so much more to see in Nashville than country music's Honky Tonk Row and the GOO. I Ubered out to Andrew Jackson's Hermitage; don't miss it. It wasn't on the tour so I arrived in Nashville a day early to see it. If you want old time "Western" music instead of country, visit Roberts Western World on Honky Tonk Row. It's busy, but the food is good, service is fast, and live music outstanding. Excellent BBQ can be had at Martin's BBQ Joint, great food, service and live entertainment(A native told me it's the best in Nashville). Nashville; what's not to like? Go there, have fun. It's a beautiful city.

This trip was a lot of fun! And...I learned a great deal about American music, including the fact that Nashville is the heart of it. It's a place for lovers of music of every genre to visit and enjoy.

Good Tour. Checked off alot of boxes for me. Studio B and Orpy, were well worth the trip. The group was ushered in and to the front of the line, mostly, so it was good without wasting time waiting in lines.

Wonderful trip that encompasses the best of Nashville. So much is included but there is also enough time to pursue things on your own. Peggy was an excellent tour leader!

I’ve wanted to visit Nashville for many years, even planning two other trips, but having to delay them. Admittedly, I wasn’t sure it would live up to my long-awaited expectations, BUT this RS program exceeded any I’d had, and then some. Any minor glitches were overshadowed by “wow” factors. The Ryman, the Grand Ole Opry, the Johnny Cash class, the Belle Meade tour, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and etc. - check, check, check! Even though the week was long and jammed with activity, the positive experiences just kept coming. The free time allowed us to explore other town restaurants and venues, and the honky tonk music on Broadway, too. Our group leader, Becky Alexander, was personable, knowledgeable, fun, energetic, and attentive. She became our friend and adventurous comrade. Kudos to Becky! She’s the BEST! 5 Stars for this Signature City Nashville Road Scholar program!

You will be very conveniently located and get to see the Big Five of Nashville: Ryman, Grand Ol' Opry, Studio B, Country Music Hall of Fame, and the honky tonks on Broadway (a mere 3 block walk).

I enjoyed this trip very much! Peggy was an excellent tour guide! Her "Things You Need To Know Before You Go List" was very helpful. She introduced us to many exciting and interesting sights each day that were not on the itinerary. I visited Nashville a few other times. I appreciated seeing a number of places I had not found on my own. I really enjoyed meeting travelers from other states. It was such a pleasure to share the adventures in Nashville with them. Some people were first time Road Scholar tourists (like me) and others had been on several RS trips. The hotel was within walking distance of many places of interest. Transportation to events included very interesting tours of the city and amazing stops along the way. The trip was extremely fun and well organized. I enjoyed every minute of it!

I felt I got really good value for the money on Signature Nashville. Road Scholar gave me special access to many of the interesting places we visited. Our guide Peggy Benton was especially good. Ron Harman was a great guide for Studio B and the Nashville city. Couldn't believe that the Wild Horse Saloon was open just for the 11 of us on the Road Scholar trip. We even got someone to teach line dancing there. Of special note was our lecture on Johnny Cash by Lisa Horngren. We had great seats at the Grand Ole Opry and a fine backstage tour prior to that. The Rhyman, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum of African American Music were very interesting. I also enjoyed our tour of Belle Meade. Our hotel was centrally located. All the included meals were very good.
