At a Glance

Experience Falmouth standing sentry over the Fal River as it meets the English Channel. Learn about the naval legacy of Portsmouth. Stand in awe of ancient Stonehenge. Soak in the spirit of festive Cork. Inspired by James Moses’ 40th anniversary at Road Scholar and his love of British history and Celtic culture, adventure awaits at each new port aboard Road Scholar’s favorite ship, the Aegean Odyssey. Then, cap your discoveries on our first-ever floating campus by going ashore for two days on the cobblestone streets of Dublin. What's more, unlike most cruise ships that are briefly in port, you'll have overnight stays in many locations, giving you plenty of opportunity for deeper exploration. This inspired President’s Voyage is the best of England and Ireland, indeed!
Activity Level
Choose Your Pace
This program offers two activity levels to choose from on every departure date: one that has less walking and fewer stairs and another at a more active pace.

Best of all, you’ll…

  • Kiss the Blarney Stone while in Cork and see if the gift of gab has been bestowed upon you!
  • Spend two days exploring the treasures of Dublin with a local expert, including Trinity College and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
  • Marvel at mysterious Stonehenge, Europe’s most famous prehistoric monument.
  • Sail exclusively with ship mates who are all Road Scholar participants, as dedicated to learning as you are.

General Notes

We’ll have up to 350 Road Scholar participants on the ship, divided into groups of 35 for shore excursions. Please note roommate matching is available in categories F, H and L. For a full circumnavigation of the British Isles, see "Odyssey at Sea: President’s Voyage Around the British Isles" (23677). This voyage combines this program with "Odyssey at Sea: The Best of England, Ireland & Scotland" (23515) with two complimentary hotel overnights in Belfast. Looking to extend your stay? This program has a pre-extension, "Extension: Experience Local Life in London" (#23618).
