After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.

As part of this program, all participants are required to complete waivers for two activity providers: Banff Trail Riders (horseback riding) and Wild Water Adventures (whitewater rafting). The Banff Trail Riders waiver will be completed online at the beginning of the program, with assistance from your Group Leader. The Wild Water Adventures waiver will be signed on-site prior to participating in the activity. Participants under the age of 18 must have their waivers completed and signed by their responsible person. A parental consent form may be required to confirm signing authority. Reference copies of both waivers are included in the “Required Documents” section of your materials and are provided for reference only. We strongly encourage all participants and responsible persons to review them carefully in advance to ensure full understanding and acknowledgement of the associated risks.

A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

A signed Parental Consent form is required for this program. The form must be signed by both parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the child participating in the program and returned to the program provider prior to the start of the program. You will receive the form as part of your program information packet. You will also be able to access the form through your online account.

If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Best Western Plus Port O'Call Calgary Airport Hotel in Calgary, Alberta

Start of Trip:  3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 4:00p.m. Program Registration; 6:00 p.m. Welcome Dinner; 7:30 p.m. Orientation.

Getting to the site: This program includes a complimentary shuttle, available from the Calgary International Airport (YYC) to the arrival hotel, the Best Western Port O' Call, for all participants. Please call the hotel from the airport for pickup informing them that you are traveling with Road Scholar. The hotel staff will advise when the next shuttle will be at the airport and will let you know where to go to meet the shuttle. Phone: 403-291-4600.

End of Trip: 10:30 a.m. after arrival at Calgary Airport; 11:00 a.m. hotel check-out.

Getting to the airport: A group transfer from the hotel in Banff to Calgary International Airport (YYC) will be available on the final day. This group transfer will depart Banff at 8:30 a.m.; approximate arrival at Calgary airport is 10:30 a.m. This transfer is available to ALL enrolled participants at no extra charge. No reservations are required. Your registration in the program guarantees your seat on the group transfer. The transfer is only available on the scheduled end date and time.
