Our family of 9 (grandparents, adult children, grandchildren) enjoyed the adventures included in this Calgary/Banff program. The scenery is magnificent, and it's wonderful to have meals, accommodations, activities and transportation all taken care of by someone else.

This trip was perfect for me and my grandson. We had such a good time and my grandson made friends easily, some I believe he will keep in contact with. It provided a safe environment for us while providing educational and fun filled experiences.

My grandson, Evan, and I have been on three trips with Road Scholar together but this was the best one ever! Our guide, Wes Wenhardt, was instrumental in making this such an outstanding experience for both of us. He was supportive of both the teenagers and the adults and nothing was too much trouble for him to take care of. I particularly appreciated the activity he did with the kids on the second last evening of the trip which resulted in each teenager presenting us with a painting they had done. This has a place of honour in our home and will remind us of the great time we all had together. Wes provided an outline of each day which we took pictures of on our phones and this was a great way for us to keep up with what was happening that day. He was very well organized and as a result everything happened on schedule. So much of these trips depends on the guide and we were exceptionally fortunate to have Wes on our trip. He was absolutely fantastic!

We have just returned from our Outdoor Adventure in the Rockies, Banff and Calgary. This was a fantastic adventure for our multi-generational family of 10, ages 10 to 78. We had an amazing guide on this tour and met other travelers who we hope to remain in contact with. Before the trip was over, we are already deciding what to do next as this was an AWESOME experience! Highly recommend!

My grandson and I both enjoyed this trip. The activities were fun, the photo-ops spectacular, our guide was great (even making the bus rides worthwhile). Being part of such a friendly and caring group was the frosting on the cake.

Adventures in the Canadian Rockies was my first grandparent trip with Road Scholar. It was an amazing experience for myself, my daughter and two grandsons, ages 10 and 13; I highly recommend it. The Canadian Rockies and Banff are a true delight and will leave you wanting more experiences like this.

This was our first Road Scholar trip and we hope to do another with our grandchildren. So please continue offering grandchildren/grandparent and family programs. We want to participate in others in the future, either international or in North America.

The trip to the Canadian Rockies with your family was amazing! We learned so much about the area's history and wildlife. Seeing the vibrant colors of the lakes in person was incredible—a real treat! Learning about the bears was fascinating too!

This was a phenomenal program with a wonderful leader - Brent MacDonald. I can't imagine anyone better in terms of knowledge of the area and in his manner of dealing with people. The range of activities (hiking, whitewater rafting, chairlift, horseback riding) was varied and physically active but not overwhelming. I usually plan my own trips but it was a relief to have the logistics handled for us. Lake Louise is too crowded to find parking and private vehicles are prohibited at Moraine Lake, so I couldn't have done this on my own. It was a joy to see how well the eight kids in the group bonded with each other almost immediately. They chose to sit together at every meal and on all the bus rides. I know my grandkids made memories that will last a lifetime.

Excellent adventure to spend with grandkids, loved rafting but wanted more rapids as all kids agreed. Loved horse back riding, gentle horses for those not familiar with riding and good talk on daily operation of facility, furrier was interesting, held kids attention, not enough time to tour facility before our ride. Loved hike up johnson canyon with breathtaking views and Yoho national park visit. Bear talk by PHD was excellent, we all enjoyed Calgary zoo with personalized tours by zoo employee. Great group leader, Brent Mc Donald, he was the BEST. Bus driver Allister kept us safe for travels. All food choices excellent especially box lunches.

This was a great multi-generational tour of a very beautiful part of the world. I learned a lot about the geology of the area, grizzly bears, horses and white water rafting. I enthusiastically recommend this trip!

What an amazing trip! Calgary’s Zoo, Heritage Village——both excellent tours and wish we could have stayed longer. Banff—gorgeous! Superb group leader and nice variety of activities from gondola/chair-lift rides to hiking to horseback riding to my favorite - white water rafting. Just the right amount of free time with the best suggestions from our group leader, Mo.

This was an amazing trip with our grandkids. Even though I have traveled globally I have never seen views of mountains and amazing colors of Lake Moraine, Louise and Emerald like we saw in Banff area. We also formed life-long memories with our grandkids. Road Scholar did a great job of organizing challening yet engaging activities that grandparents and their grandkids could enjoy together. The quality of the educational activities was excellent, interactive and interesting for all participants. Road Scholar also did a great job of making sure our granddaughter's food allergies were taken seriously and had no problems. Overall spectacular week in Banff.
