Great experience and really learned much about NYC and the people who built it. I would fully recommend this program to any friend who plans to visit.

Rusty, our tour leader, was excellent. She's knowledgeable and patient. We saw a lot. I really liked the treasures room at the public library. I added 3 days at the end of the tour on my own and I'm very glad I did because it gave me a chance to see some things we didn't get to see and to see more of some things that we saw a little bit of. But doing the tour with Road Scholar first was very helpful. The lectures that we were given were interesting and related to whatever we were going to do that day. The one downside was the hotel. The rooms are tiny. They do not provide microwaves in any rooms. There is one microwave in the small lobby for the guests on all 31 floors to use. If you're in a room on floors 1-16, your room does not come with a refrigerator, but if you ask for one it will be brought to you. The elevators are very insufficient for the demand. Breakfast was so crowded I typically skipped it.

I never thought I was a tour group person until this trip with Road Scholar. They planned our New York at a Slower Pace trip down to the last detail and have done a fantastic job of finding tour guides who are informative, friendly, and passionate. I will definitely consider another Road Scholar trip and have told many people of my positive experience. Thank you!

If you have never been to New York or just want a taste of the vibrant city, this is a great tour to introduce you to this wonderful city. Taking in a Broadway Show will enhance your experience further.

I have recommended this trip to many of my friends. It was my first time in NYC and I learned SO much! The group leaders were excellent, as were the guest speakers. My 2 biggest 'take-aways' from this week in New York are: 1) New Yorkers are ALL in a hurry, therefore the streets, bike lanes and sidewalks are jammed. 2) New York City is so much safer than depicted on T.V. or in the Press. I am considering another NYC 'adventure' with Road Scholar.

New York is an experience. And it can be overwhelming to someone like me that had never been. Angela made it easy. I love to walk in cities and go to the different neighborhoods. We did that. Our last day my husband and I walked 4 miles. I learned a lot. Can't wait to go on another Road Scholar trip!!

Great trip. Loved seeing NYC by bus instead of subway. Great leader and participants. Just the right size group. Had a great time with good mix of sites. One restaurant (DK?) should be changed--it was the steak house that didn't serve us steak or beef of any kind and had no idea what flavor the petit four desserts were.

Want to travel, feel safe, learn behind the scenes information, see wonderful sights, great hotels and food? Road Scholar can fulfill all those desires. Many Road Scholars travel alone but once they join their group, they are no longer alone. Meet amazing people, explore exciting locations and make new memories, all with Road Scholar.

If you have not visited NYC before this is a worthwhile way to do so. It takes the stress out of having to decide what to see and how to get there. Best of all, you'll have a seasoned travel guide, in my case a native New Yorker.

FIVE STARS (The website is not letting me assign stars to my reviews) A wonderful trip! A wide variety of experiences, yet easy to do because we had a private coach to get around. Our group leader, Angela was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and positive, and personally assisted anyone who wanted to explore on their own. The hotel was located in a place which was convenient, but just far enough from the noise of Times Square. My one advice : if you are flying into Newark, take the Coach USA shuttle, not the methods in the RS literature. So convenient, and only $12 for seniors.
