After you enroll, we’ll ask you to provide or update your personal information and preferences, which includes your health information, lodging and meal preferences for your program.
A passport is required for this program. It must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

A signed Parental Consent form is required for this program. The form must be signed by both parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the child participating in the program and returned to the program provider prior to the start of the program. You will receive the form as part of your program information packet. You will also be able to access the form through your online account.
If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Old Ground Hotel in Ennis
Start of Trip: 1.00 p.m. Lunch; 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:00 p.m. Orientation; 6:00 p.m. Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: A taxi from the airport to the hotel should typically cost between EUR35 and EUR45 (2019 prices) for a journey of approximately 12 miles. Bus route 343 runs from bus stop B at the airport to the Ennis Road bus stop in Limerick (this bus route has Limerick Bus Station as its final destination). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with departures approximately once per hour, and should cost approximately EUR9 to EUR13 (2019 prices). The Ennis Road bus stop is located in front of the hotel.
Getting to the site by train or bus: The journey by bus from Shannon Airport to Ennis involves two changes. We advise using the group transfer. Buses are available from Dublin hotel to the airport. Your group leader can advise you.
Your trip ends on: Monday, June 15, 2026 in Dublin. at Grand Canal Hotel
End of Trip: 9:00 a.m. after breakfast; 11:00 a.m. hotel check-out.
Getting to the airport: Aircoach offers services from Dublin city to Dublin Airport; your Group Leader will advise you on how best to use these services. The fare is typically EUR10 (2023 prices). A taxi to the airport from central Dublin should typically cost approximately EUR25-40 (2023 prices), dependent upon city traffic.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Transfers are available to all participants arriving on the official program arrival day, day 2 of your program itinerary. Participants who have booked flights through Road Scholar, have arrived independently into Shannon Airport, or wish to return to the airport can take advantage of the group transfer on group arrival day. The group transfer usually departs by lunchtime. Please note that our program coordinators EIL will be in contact with you by email to check your arrival plans with you. They will usually be in touch within 2 weeks of your program start date. Further details will be provided in your final set of Preparatory reading materials.
