If Road Scholar is arranging your air travel to and from the program, and you travel on the scheduled start and end dates, you’ll receive free round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Meet the group at Clayton Hotel Cork City in Cork
Start of Trip: 3:00 p.m. hotel check-in; 5:30 p.m. Orientation followed by Welcome Dinner.
Getting to the site: Bus routes 704-x (operated by Aircoach) and 707 (operated by Bus Éireann) depart every half hour from the airport to St Patrick's Quay in Cork; the fare should typically be between EUR19 and EUR30 (2023 prices), for a 166-mile journey taking approximately 3 hours 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Quay, you will see a bridge just beside the bus stop - this is called the Brian Boru Bridge. Walk across the bridge and follow the road directly ahead (Clontarf Street). Getting to the airport: Aircoach offers services from Dublin city to Dublin Airport; your Group Leader will advise you on how best to use these services. The fare is typically EUR6 (2019 prices). A taxi to the airport from central Dublin should typically cost approximately EUR25-40 (2023 prices), dependent upon city traffic.
Information if you are purchasing your own airfare: Road Scholar will also make arrangements to transfer participants who have not purchased airfare through Road Scholar to the first site at the beginning of the program, as well as from the last site at the end of the program. Please note that our program coordinator in Ireland, EIL will be in contact with you by email to check your arrival plans with you. They will usually be in touch within 2 weeks of your program start date. If you wish to purchase airfare through Road Scholar, please call (800) 241-1404. Please note: In the unlikely event Road Scholar must make changes to the program's arrival or departure details, we will notify all participants as soon as possible. Participants who have purchased Road Scholar airfare are protected against airline change fees; however, anyone who has not purchased Road Scholar airfare will be required to make their own adjustments and may incur fees imposed by the airline.
