Great program for those interested in rockets, drones, space programs. The Challenger Learning Center simulation was especially engaging.

We can highly recommend this road scholar trip. Our 9 1/2 year-old grandson had a fabulous time. He was very engaged in all the activities. It was well organized, educational and very appropriate for their age level.

My great niece loved this program. On the way home, she told me what she liked best about each of the other kids in the group. Then she said she is considering going into space when she grows up.

This trip far exceeded my expectations! A rich, wonderful and fun learning experience. My grandson loved flying the drones and designing, building and shooting off rockets. My fourth Road Scholar trip and I will be taking more.

Melvin – Class of 2018 | Nashua, NH
A great program which was informative and engaging for both grand children and grandparents. The group size was perfect and the activities were scaled well for the 9-11 year old age group. Highly recommend this but be prepared for the challenges of keeping up with excited youngsters as they learn & experience science and the history of the St Louis area.

Carol – Class of 2020 | Indianapolis, IN
This is an excellent program for boys and girls at any experience level with rockets and space travel. Some activities were just the children working in small groups and others were adults and children working together. Most of the kids couldn’t pick one activity that was their favorite. They loved “all of them.”

We have already submitted reviews. However, I didn't retain phone numbers for the college in order to inform them that a grandparent participant last week, John Fox, tested positive for covid today, July 19, 2022. Grandmother Cheryl is isolating and testing. John started feeling ill Sat. night when we dropped Graham off in Indianapolis. We traveled on home to Youngstown, OH on Sunday morning. So the Vaughn family is aware and watching for signs of infection, too. We thought we should let you know and hope you can transmit the info to our Program Leader, Debbie, at the college.

My husband and I took a grandchild and a great grandchild on the program: To Missouri and Beyond: Space and Robots with you Grandchild. We all had a marvelous experience. The children enjoyed the acitivities and many friends were made. Our moderator was very thorough. The transportation and meals provided were excellent. This is our second intergenerational trip with our grandchild, and we will be looking for others in the future.

If your grandchild would like to learn how to program a Lego robot or build and launch his/her own rocket, check this program out! The program leader, Pam, is wonderful too!

The activities were extremely well-chosen, organized, and carried out. It would not be easy, even if possible, for grandparents as individuals to arrange the great opportunities that this program provides. All of the staff involved were outstanding! Pam Ronkoski, the leader, was wonderful! She was tolerant but firm with the kids, present and involved with every activity, very considerate of everyone's needs, and had a great sense of humor. The instructors for Mad Science, the Rube Goldberg machine, robotics, and rocketry were very knowledgeable, personable, great with the kids, and made the activities fun. Fred Heidolph, the rocketry instructor, deserves special mention for his zany delivery! I believe this is a particularly good program for kids who are techies and like to build things. My granddaughter loved every minute of it and I enjoyed myself thoroughly!

Nancy – Class of 2017 | Tucson, AZ
This trip was a wonderful educational experience for our grandson and a highly memorable one as well. The hands on activities were perfect for budding scientists and the culminating visit to the Gateway Arch was exciting for all. Of course, building and launching a rocket was also an incredible finale to the week.
