A great program and Bob and Maggie were great guides. Great group too. I only wish it hadn’t been colder than normal

This is a short 4-1/2 day program that hits the highlights of Phoenix and Scottsdale. Bob Doehnert, our group leader, was friendly, outgoing and well-organized. The program covers the history of the area, including Native Americans, cowboys, and how Phoenix gets its water. My favorite activities were hiking in the Desert Botanical Garden and exploring the Musical Instruments Museum.

This was a very interesting program. Our guides and bus driver were excellent. I was amazed by the Musical Instrument Museum even though I don’t consider myself to be musical.

I'm a widowed senior. My trip was spot on and a very good time. It was so nice to have everything planned and taken care of. I am recommending Road Scholar to all of my friends. The guide, hotel and itinerary were great. Thank you for a job well done and very nice time.

Bob and Maggie Doehnert were outstanding as our group leaders. This was an excellent trip with a great mix of activities and free time. Enjoyed visiting the main sites of the area (such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West is a UNESCO World Heritage Sites), but also loved some of the other less known places (the Arizona Falls, the war memorials on the capital's grounds, etc.). Food was consistently good. The hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) had a very convenient location and better than typical hotel breakfasts (recommend the made-to-order omelets). I booked the trip for the visits to art museums (which I loved), but the unexpected highlight was the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM). Highly recommend this program!

Our time in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area was delightful and exceeded our expectations. Great program, interesting museums and excellent meals! We enjoyed discovering this city with the benefit of "someone else" doing the driving. Our bus driver, Karen was a highlight of our experience. She is from the Navajo Nation and was willing to share her inspiring life story with us. Our Group Leader, Mary Best was terrific.

I learned a great deal about the history, culture, people and issues facing the city. And the experience was beyond the educational for it was a positive personal experience shared with others. And I think our leader was superb.

This was a wonderful trip? We had a first-class coordinator in Bob Doehnert and a wonderful/engaging bus driver (Karen Begay). And extremely pleasant folks on the trip. What's more, the evening speakers were great. We especially liked the tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, the Musical Instrument Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, and the Western Spirit Museum. Staying at a hotel in Scottsdale was a big plus, as well. Looking forward to another Road Scholar trip.

The Phoenix museums were outstanding as were their docents. The January weather in Phoenix was especially welcomed by the folks from the cold and stormy parts of the country.

We just took our first Road Scholar trip - Signature Cities, Phoenix. At least 4 of the "highlights" would have almost justified the trip alone. I came away realizing that there are so many places I could visit, enjoy, and learn from with Road Scholar.

I've been coming to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for years to visit family, and had previously visited some of the locations on the itinerary. However, the opportunity to see recently opened museums and have docent conducted tours made the experience much more valuable. Don't miss the Musical Instrument Museum!!

It was fun to see many new facilities in Phoenix and Scottsdale. If you haven’t been there for a few years, consider this trip. The Musical Instrument Museum, organized by the countries of the world, is especially impressive.
