This was a great trip that I can highly recommend. We stayed at the beautiful, historic US Grant hotel. The rooms are lovely and the beds are to die for comfortable! Our leader, Isabella, was great. She was organized, very accommodating and kind. Her assistant was also excellent. The representative from the San Diego Historical Society, Justine, was very informative about the founders of San Diego and their places in history. We visited the mission which is beautiful but it was a sunday and there were quite a few worshippers that I felt we might be bothering. We did try and be unobtrusive. We were really able to see so much of the city and the surrounding area and to have a lovely New Years celebration. Take this trip next year for an informative and fun New Years. You won't regret it!

Interesting and varied subjects and sights on this trip with great history lessons and presentations (and good food!) I had read some negative reviews about the area the US Grant Hotel is located in but I didn't find that to be true. The hotel itself was an impressive property and the surrounding area felt as clean and safe as any downtown hotel I've stayed at in other cities. Our tour leader, Isabelle, was terrific - capable and cheerful, and so was Armando, our bus driver.

This was a fun way to end 2022 and start the new year! We learned a lot, saw a lot, ate a lot, and had an great time! Isabel did a great job leading us! Armando was a superb driver and friendly! Only complaint was not rotating seats on the bus. I am an amateur photographer and would have liked to have had the chance to take pictures out of front. The same two people took the front seat every time!!!
