Wonderful trip to San Francisco! We visited the main iconic sights and enjoyed well-informed guides or pre-visit lectures to enhance our experience. My granddaughter loved being with a group of peers, so it was a very enjoyable (and educational) way to spend time with her. Thank you Road Scholar!

This is definitley a "get up and go" program, full of adventures, new food, new people, and new experiences. I love that my grandson and I were able to share and experience it all. Making memories is the best.

What a wonderful trip for my grandson, age 10, and I. We enjoyed so much time together and met a few challenges along the way. This is a trip I would definitely recommend to others!

It was fun to explore San Francisco with my eleven year-old grandson - we liked traveling in a small group with other grandparents and grandchildren.
To my surprise and pleasure, Muir Woods was his favorite place! Looking forward to additional experiences with my other grandchildren.

My 12-year old grandson and I loved this very active, interesting, well-planned and executed itinerary that made the most of five days in San Francisco. It was also a cool respite from July in NC! The hotel and its "walkable" location and good food exceeded my expectations. There were many trip highlights, and most were greatly enhanced by outstanding speakers who shared history in the form of interesting stories: Golden Gate Bridge, including the walk all the way across for those who wanted to participate; Alcatraz, including the ferry and the cell house audio tour; Chinatown walking tour with samples from a family fortune cookie "factory"; a cable car ride after learning their history and how they work, and a bus ride to/around Sausalito. California Academy of Sciences "behind the scenes" tour was fascinating. And I heard many who agreed with us that that the awesome beauty and quiet serenity of Muir Woods may have topped the list for more than a few. My grandson said he couldn't believe the time went by so fast.

I highly recommend the San Francisco Bridges, Redwoods and Alcatraz tour with grandchildren. Prepare to do a lot of walking. The tour includes informative lectures, touring of all the must-see sights and free time to see other sights that are most important to attendees.

This was a great program for grandchildren and active grandparents! We were given enough education that the children did not get overwhelmed and we saw nearly every main attraction of San Francisco. It was a perfect trip for us!
