The White Stallion Ranch was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. Plenty of horse time mixed with a variety of other activities. The ranch is a very welcoming and accommodating environment. Your fellow participants will make this great vacation into a fantastic vacation.

What a fun trip! The White Stallion Ranch is beautiful and run by a family that really cares about the visitor's experience. The staff are friendly and polite, and the Wranglers were knowledgeable and sweet - even in the 96F weather we had for a couple days. Of all the riding experiences, I highly recommend the Beer and Cheetos ride.
There are a variety of other activities to choose from including e-bikes, archery, shooting and painting for those who chose not to ride or just need to give those butt muscles a rest.
The Road Scholar activities were informative and did not take away from the dude ranch experience. The other Road Scholar attendees were really great and made the trip so much fun.

White Stallion Ranch is a beautiful place and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I had not ridden in many years and was nervous about what to expect, but there are riding opportunities for everyone from beginners to experts and everyone in between. I ended up riding a lot and thoroughly enjoyed rediscovering an activity I once loved!

The program at WSR is excellent. The ranch is able to help all levels of riders ,from first time riders to experienced riders. Some came and didn’t ride but enjoyed all the other activities. Carol the leader is excellent! The scenery is wonderful. I enjoyed the whole experience and will plan on attending again !

This trip was such a great experience. It was our sixth RS trip and as with the others, it did not disappoint. The accommodations, food, instructors, environment, horses, wranglers were all exceptional. Our RS leader, Carol Moore, was wonderful in keeping us organized and focused on having a superb experience. Highly recommend this trip!

The White Stallion Ranch experience was simply wonderful. This was my first time at dude ranch and I could not have been made more comfortable or enjoyed it more. The ranch staff is friendly and helpful (and great at matching you to a horse). The food was plentiful and delicious, and the accommodations are excellent. I hadn't expected the ranch setting to be so beautiful; even though it is located close to Tucson the entire setting seemed remote, Western and wild.

The Ultimate Old West: The White Stallion Ranch Experience is a fun intro to ranch life about half an hour outside of Tucson, AZ. Horseback riding (at various levels), archery, shooting, e-bikes, etc are available as part of the program. I passed on some afternoon activities like team penning due to the heat (95o or more) but evening activities and art (watercolor and leather-tooling) were available as part of the program. We paid extra for e-bike rides in the morning to avoid the heat even though they were a part of the program. Be aware that transfers from Tucson are available from White Stallion Ranch for a fee, but Uber isn't a practical choice due to the distance from town. The ranch grounds and landscaping are beautiful and the rooms were large and included a fridge. No room TVs, but I didn't miss them. Dependable WiFi is available. Don't miss Loop Rawlins' Wild West Show in the evening. Massages are available at the restful spa near the pool and you can pay for yoga in the mornings. Buffet meals were large and had enough choices to suit most anyone.

This is a great way to travel solo because you are made to feel welcomed, included, and a part of a larger, friendly group. The trips are already planned out and all you have to do is show up, and learn, eat good and enjoy. No meals to prepare or dishes to do for a week!

This was my 8th year at White Stallion Ranch with Road Scholar and I still loved every minute. Each time there are variations or additions to the program so it never becomes stale. Carol Moore is a terrific group leader with a lot of hands-on ranching and riding experience. Just fun to be around her. There are many choices for ranch activities all day every day. Some of my favorites are specifically for Road Scholars but there are many other options for anyone visiting the ranch -- so there is never a lack of things to see or do. I love the casita-style accommodations and always make time to sit outside my room and read while enjoying the beautiful scenery around me. Hoping to go back again next year!

I will definitely be back. I took one horseback riding lesson at eight years old. I haven’t been on a horse since then. This ranch is the perfect place for a novice or more experienced riders.

This program fulfilled a lifelong dream: visit a dude ranch. It was a great trip and I enjoyed it so much, I intend to return to the White Stallion Ranch in the future. The ranch staff was so accommodating and made adjustments for each participant's skill level riding a horse. The accommodations were roomy, private and lovely and the food was excellent, as buffets go. I highly recommend this trip!

A bucket list experience for me.

(NOTE: no option to put how many stars, but I give this 4 stars out of 5...my initial review posted with 2 stars without giving me an option, which must have been a glitch) This review is about what we wish someone had told us. You will have fun on this trip; we especially enjoyed the e-bikes, daily rides, and painting class. However, we feel it is important for people to be aware that many parts of this trip involve any/all guests on the ranch (including children), not just Road Scholars. This includes all buffet lines, wait time to load everyone on horses, and all evening activities. For this reason, this did not feel as much like a RS trip compared to the others we have done. It also does not feel like a "Small Group" trip. If you know all of that going in, you will have an enjoyable time on the ranch!

Have done this RS trip seven (7) times over the years and I keep coming back. It's just a perfect blend of tranquility, desert beauty, and total getaway from life in suburbia. I always meet fun new people with RS and enjoy reunions with others like myself who are "annual repeaters." Waking up in beautiful surroundings with horses, cattle and Panther Peak in view is a treat I look forward to. Not to mention the awesome Sonoran desert with its cactus and colorful wildflowers. The ranch and Road Scholar provide so many options for daily entertainment/education/exploration (and of course daily horseback riding) that it's often hard to choose how to spend one's time. Staff is wonderfully friendly and family-like. Food options are EXCELLENT and varied. A wonderful home away from home that I look forward to each year.

The Road Scholar Program at the White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Arizona provided exceptional accommodations, friendly staff, numerous activities, creative and amazing educational programs and outstanding nightly happy hour and indoor and outdoor entertainment.

White Stallion Ranch was an amazing experience for my partner and me. I cannot think of anything I would change and my hat (cowboy) is off the RS, Carol, our coordinator, White Stallion and the wranglers and staff. Superb!!
BTW, White Stallion is family owned, classic and, if you want the "real deal" Dude Ranch, this is the place and RS is the way to go!!
