The Island Resort, a locally, family owned inn is located on North Main St. Its beautifully landscaped waterside location is within walking distance to historic downtown Chincoteague, restaurants, shops and amenities. All rooms have private waterfront balconies with stunning views. Glorious sunsets can be seen over the water. Visitors may observe from their balconies egrets, herons and other species of wildlife frequenting the adjacent waterways. There is a year-round indoor pool and fitness center, and, in warmer weather, there is also an outdoor pool. A hot tub with sunset views is available. The Inn is fronted by a 600 foot pier with a private dock and an observation deck.
