Overall I was pleased with the trip. The participants were all friendly and good to be with even though some were not able to keep up with a fairly slow pace. We never hit an average of 10 to 12 mph as stated in the description of the trip and the distances were not as long as I expected them to be.Some of the roads were great for biking. However one-Atlantic Ave. was a high speed road with no shoulder. I have ridden over 8000 miles in the last 10 years and would never ride more than 100 yards on a road like that. I suggest using an app such as Google Earth or Ride With GPS to plan the rides and keep off dangerous highways. The visits we made to special places like Kerr House, the lobster farm and marine research station were great. Our guides were friendly and helpful. Thank you all! I apologize slowing the group down while off the bike due to some physical problems. Sincerely, Bob King

If you've never biked multiple days with a group before, this is a great trip with which to begin. The trip was informative and fun with just the right amount of biking (for us). The staff and our fellow participants were all friendly and helpful and the quiet flat roads and trails were perfect for our type of biking.

Beautiful scenery and special opportunities to view pristine stretch of shoreline and Assateague Wildlife area. Great local cuisine and warm Southern hospitality. I loved the historic site visits and docent presentations at Ker House and the log cabin. Vigorous bike tour of surrounding beautiful countryside. The only drawback were the unleased dog chases along the way. I also was expecting to meet with an "old Salt" type of waterman, but instead the presentation was by a wealthy transplant that has joined the oyster business opportunity perhaps for property tax advantages. The group leaders were attentive and considerate.

Beautiful area for a multi-day bike trip. I just wish we could have done more cycling with fewer and shorter stops. Ride pace was sometimes slower than the advertised 10-12 mph.

A great program! Lots of seafood and seaside riding. Great rides in a beautiful area! You will be up close and personal with nature so…….Bring your insect repellent, or the mosquitoes will think you’re a blood bank!

If you are a casual cyclist and are interested in learning about life on the Eastern Shore as well as its history, I recommend this program. There is no better way to be immersed in a place and culture than by riding through it on a bicycle. The group size of 10 was perfect, and consisted of couples and also singles like me. Routes were well-planned, leaders were familiar with our destinations, and accommodations were comfortable.
