At a Glance

One of Indiana’s natural gems, Pokagon State Park welcomes you for a week of learning and discovery along the beautiful shores of Lake James. The interpretive naturalist will explain the wetlands and lakes created by the most recent ice age through indoor activities and an exploration hike. Our historian will explore legends, folklore and myths of our nation such as Paul Bunyan, Calamity Jane, Tecumseh, Davy Crockett and others and Johnny Appleseed will pay us a visit to tell his stories. A retired EMT, RN and Medical Museum Board Member will review the changes in patient care during various US wars. You will create a glass mosaic to take home. An expert will share with you the value of your antiques.
