The Jazz Standard & The Songbook
Save the date! With OFAM 2025 Summer, Chuck Redd and company continue their exploration of the relationship between jazz and the Songbook. While furthering their look at jazz musicians’ use of songs from the Classic Songbook (featuring Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Harry Warren among others), they will also celebrate the instrumentals by composers working with a jazz context (Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn, Thelonious Monk, etc.) which became jazz standards and often Songbook standards as well. As usual there will be 8 unique concerts, the Jazz Party, talks & lectures & sing-alongs.
This departure is 7 days / 6 nights. Meals: 17 total (6 B, 5 L, 6 D)
