Extensive standing and walking up to two miles a day and climbing. Existing roads/sidewalks are generally unpaved terrain. Ground transportation via 4x4 vehicles over roads that may be bumpy. Participants must descend exterior stairs with railings from freighter to board 30-passenger whaleboats to get ashore.

Formerly a teacher, she integrates her passion of art, archaeology and anthropology studies with Polynesian culture. Her expertise includes Polynesian geography and culture, and she lectures on significant sites throughout southern Polynesia. Fluent in English, French and Tahitian, Elizabeth has led and lectured for Road Scholar programs for more than 15 years.
