The location and accommodations were great, but I wish the instructor had explained more about the "why" of the conventions and especially the follow-up bids for each scenario.
We spent time sorting the cards into hands, which could have been avoided by the instructor setting up boards or providing handouts with the sample hands that could be discussed as a group during or after bidding at the tables.
I wish there was a bit more instruction time in the afternoon, not to cover additional concepts but to reinforce the ones introduced in the morning. The Jekyll Island Resort is lovely, but I really went there to improve my bridge game.

FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY AS THE SETTING AND FOOD WERE BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. HOWEVER, WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE BRIDGE ASPECT OF THE TRIP. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTORS/LEADERS AVAILABLE DURING OPEN PLAY TIMES.

Great program. Because we are good intermediate players, I wasn't sure that we would learn that much. However, the teaching was great and so we did learn a lot. Insturctors were great. Jekyll Island is a fabulous resort with wonderful history and much natural beauty. Food was so-so, but that is to be expected when it is buffet dining.

This program is perfect for those that want to take their "party" bridge playing to the next level. Go as a foursome or with a partner, so you can practice these game changing skills. We loved our weekly "party" bridge, but now we have a new perspective of the game, based on latest best practices and computer generated stats. We loved it, and you will too. Sarasota, Florida

All bridge players should take the opportunity to go to the Jekyll Island Intermediate Bridge lessons. The accommodations are wonderful and the food is delicious and the instructors are good and fun.

The intermediate bridge program met or exceeded my expectations. The group was a good mix in terms of level of bridge knowledge and experience (I found myself sort of in the middle). We had adequate time allocated to bridge instruction/playing along with a couple of scheduled small excursions and scheduled down time. The weather was perfect and surroundings beautiful! Thoroughly enjoyed our instructor, Faith W.

Lots of fun and good learning experience. Airport shuttle very expensive. No help from Road Scholar.
