Excellent program to do with your grandchild. The leader Rusty did a great job getting us through the city using lots of subways and telling us information about the different areas. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

Visiting so many attractions in NYC with my grandson was more than amazing. We learned so much and had so much fun together. It was a great experience for both of us. On the way home my grandson asked where are we going next year!

The NY Mosaic was very actively paced and very fun for our twin 11 yr old grandchildren. The big city experience with its maze of subways, and endless interesting landmarks and sights was quite an experience for these small town kids. They loved everything..from Liberty Island to Cooney Island and everything in between. We did as much research and reading as reasonable with them before the trip and this made their experience a bit more meaningful. Our guide, Rusty was a phenominal leader..and very positive and upbeat all the way. She even took us through Macy's at a good clip, to skirt the heat on our first day and let the kids ride the Macy's wooden escalator up and down. We were quickly back on our way to the hotel after a full day of sights...and experiences. Wish we had known about Road Scholar earlier to have had the chance to take our other grandchildren who are now too old to participate. GREAT PROGRAM

We loved going on a Road Scholar adventure in the Grandparents/ grandchild program. We got to see our grandchild interact with new people, make new friends, and see new and incredible sites.

Trip more than met my expectations. My 11 year old granddaughter made new friends and talked about her desire to return to NYC the whole way home.

The "Let's Go" activity level was just what was needed to allow us to take in as much of NYC as we did. From The Statue of Liberty, to the UN to Central Park, to Coney Island - on to Rockefeller Center, Wall Street, Times Square, Greenwich Village and SO much more. It left us in the "Tired, but Happy" category each night. Rusty, our guide, was delightful and taught us how to be like New Yorkers making our afternoon off successful as we were able to independently traverse subways, buses, and stay to the right. What wonderful memories were made with our grandson! Can't think of how it could have been better! Highly recommended.

Fabulous Program if you want to learn as much as you can about NYC in 5 days. The places we visited were numerous and educational. Just be prepared to walk and ride the subway a lot. In the end, however, you will be so satisfied that you took this trip with other grandparents and grandchildren. We have new friends and a great appreciation for the city! This was a fabulous trip. My granddaughter and I still talk about it. The leader was fantastic. She knew so much about the city and made sure the kids got to see and do so much of the city's great masterpieces. What did Leah like best...EVERY THING!! What did I like best...being with a group of great grandchildren and their grandparents and bein able to see all the sites.

It was a thrill to see my grandchild enjoying the educational experiences as much as she enjoyed interacting with her peers. I found out she’s not the shy girl her parents said she is! True joy for me!

Lindsay – Class of 2019 | Raleigh, NC
This program was an excellent way to introduce children to NYC. The locations we visited were landmarks in the city. We covered more territory and sites than we could ever have managed on our own. Using the subway was interesting, fast, and made easy by our excellent guides, Angela and Nan. Thanks, Road Scholar!

Sue – Class of 2018 | Hillsborough, NC
Loved the trip with the exception of the day at Coney Island. It was not well organized and offered very little time for the children to ride the rides. We had to rush lunch and then time for only 4 rides. The acquarium should have been an elective and dinner not so early. The trip there and back was long. A better use of time would have been going to a museum in the city. Information shared for other activities was very good.

The program exceeded my expectations for content, presentation, cost, and faithfulness to the published program description. My housing facilities at the New Yorker Hotel were by no means luxurious, but they were adequate.
