Frequently Asked Questions

We're here to make arranging an educational adventure exclusively for your group hassle-free. Need help selecting a program that meets the needs and interests of your group? Just ask! Once you have chosen a program, we’ll take care of all the details. If you have any questions or are ready to get started, you can email us at groups@roadscholar.org or call (877) 209-4634.

Please contact us as soon as you have chosen a program to ensure enough time for us to make the arrangements and for your group to make plans. Typically, this means 6 to 9 months ahead of time for programs in the U.S. and one year ahead of time for international programs.

Generally, the minimum to reserve an exclusive program for your group is 18 and the maximum is 24.  Because of our extensive offerings, however, minimums and maximums do vary by program (i.e. a hiking program may have a maximum of 12 based on the trail requirements).

Many of our programs are available for groups to reserve exclusively for their members.  With the depth and breadth of our educational travel adventures, we’re sure we have something to match your group’s interests and schedule.

Road Scholar programs are carefully planned from start to finish to provide your members with unique one-of-a-kind experiences.  Accordingly, we request that you start with our current offerings and depending on the program, some minor customization may be available.

Enroll 20 members and save:

  • You or your designee can attend the program for free; or
  • You can earn a 5% per person return to your organization; or
  • Each members can receive a 5% per person refund at the conclusion of the program.

We won’t finalize the details until you’re confident that you’ll have enough people to make your program happen. In the rare instance when you are arranging an exclusive program just for your group and not enough people sign up, we can either move those who did enroll into a different date with other Road Scholar participants or you can pay a supplemental fee to remain a private group.
